le musique!

kelly, anita, and i checked out kelly's friend amie's band, amie amis at r&r on wednesday night.



amie's music is a fun collaboration of french horn, alto and soprano sax, guitar, bass, and drums, creating a sound that is really unique! i guess the best way to describe it is a combination of jazz, pop, and loungey-swing. amie even did a cibo mato cover!



kelly was mentioning during the show that she wished she had a snack.

(I eat on the run a lot!)

since we were so close, we decided to grab another drink and some pizza from pizza bar on 9th ave.

mmm...


now this is my idea of pizza and bear! i got the cheeseburger pizza! sooo good!

everything was going well, eating, drinking, laughing ... until all of a sudden, anita, kelly, and i started coughing. it started like a tickle in our throats. we thought, "oh, how funny! we all have a little cough at the same time!"


anita coughs as she pays the bill.

soon, people were leaving pop burger and coughing. "how funny" turned to "what the hell is going on!" even our waitress starting having a coughing fit! so we cut out - ASAP!
i felt like i was having an asthma attack and could barely talk from the coughing! this wasn't good!
i did make it home (i know you are all getting concerned about me!) and i called my dad. (come on, don't you call your parents when you are sick?) he said it had to have been carbon monoxide poisioning. he said i would be fine ... and i am.
